The Pangasinan State University Food Innovation Center (FIC) has once again lured collaboration with the business industry through its top-quality products.
PSU, together with the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), opened a discussion on co-incubation plan through the DMMMSU ATBI (Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubation) Program under the umbrella of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The Office of the Vice-President for Research, Extension, Innovation and Gender and Development Division of PSU headed by Dr. Razeale G. Resultay along with University Legal Officer Atty. Darius De Guzman; Director for FIC Dr. Wilma M. De Vera; DOST representative Ms. Meryll Bernardino and other unit heads of the REIGN Division attended the meeting at the Audio-Visual Room of PSU-Lingayen Campus on March 15.
The co-incubation program aims to work with other incubators in assisting an incubatee with its technical and business needs as a start-up.
“With DMMMSU as PSU’s partner, the fruitful meeting laid out the scope, details and services that both parties will render and receive from this collaboration and partnership,” Dr. Resultay said.
Moreover, the co-incubation plan meeting of the two academic institutions also opened areas of collaboration to cater to a business entity [Uncle Tom Food Products] as it expressed its interest to collaborate with the 0-KRANTZ, a Food Technology of DOST1-PSU Food Innovation Center.
The DMMMSU delegation was attended by Prof. Victoria N. Malaya, Project Leader for DMMMSU ATBI and RAISE Project 3.0; Dr. Angelina T. Gonzales, VP for Research & Extension; Prof. Keneth G. Bayani, Director for Research; Ms. Eden P. Borce, Project Manager for DMMMSU-ATBI; and Mr. John Rommel T. Retuya.
PSU, with University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas at the helm, puts premium on collaborations as it continues to strengthen its research mantra.
