The President, Vice Presidents and key officials of Pangasinan State University and Thu Duc College of Technology-Vietnam convened virtually on December 9, 2025 to discuss strategies for strengthening and expanding collaboration between the two academic institutions.
The aim was to explore opportunities for joint programs and resource sharing, as well as enhance initiatives that would benefit both institutions and their stakeholders.
The partnership between the PSU and TDC has come a long way over the past seven years. The relationship has evolved significantly, leading to numerous fruitful initiatives.
An Audio Visual Presentation was shown before the meeting that highlighted the partnership that started in 2018 and has yielded several key milestones such as CDIO model integration in the IT curriculum, several research initiatives in IT and Mathematics and extension as well, resources sharing. among others.
Dr Hoang Huy Nguyen, Head of Software Engineering department and Dr Frederick F. Patacsil, Dean of the College of Computing introduced the PSU and TDC attendees on the said meeting.
President of TDC, Dr. Pham Huu Loc, was very grateful for the partnership and hoped both institutions to stay committed to exploring new avenues for collaboration. He invited PSU to be part of their IT programming contest, to conduct more researches and venture on ABET accreditation.
Dr. Elbert M. Galas, PSU president, highlighted the milestones of collaboration. He discussed the vision of PSU and vowed to strengthen internationalization of programs to enable curricular offerings of PSU to be at par with the ASEAN region.
The President also envisioned that the partnership would expand across PSU system and to other programs.
Dr Razeale G. Resultay, VP for Research and Extension, Innovation and GAD and Dr Ian D. Evangelista, VP for Local and International Affairs, hoped for a continued partnership as details of the upcoming activities will be discussed between the two institutions.
Moreover, the Vice President of TDC, Mr Nguyen Xuan Toan, stressed that the collaboration will not be limited to academic and research but also English language teaching and IT and potential faculty exchange.
Other future initiatives include: Faculty Exchange; Cultural Exchange Program for both Faculty and Students; and
Collaborative International Conferences
The progress made reflects a shared commitment to excellence in academic and research as the foundation laid through this partnership promises even greater achievements.
