University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas led the turn-over of two (2) Nissan Urvan passenger vans and one (1) Toyota passenger van on July 7, 2025 that will be used for operations requiring transport mobility.
“As PSU gears toward an industry-driven state university, these vehicles are necessary and appropriate in fulfilling our mandate and are for the best interest of the campuses as we cater to the institution’s needs,” Dr. Galas said.
The President added that the university prioritized prudence and judiciousness in the purchase of vehicles and strictly followed Administrative Order No. 14 which ensures that vehicles purchased by government agencies, including SUCs, are suitable, cost-effective and meet technical specifications.
Funding for the vehicles were sourced out from the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
The first batch of vehicles were given to the Main Campus as received by Vice President Rosario DL Valencerina of the Administration and Finance Management Division, the Lingayen Campus as received by CED Dr. Renato E. Salcedo and the Binmaley Campus as received by CED Dr. Marie Claire Briones.
Joining Dr. Galas in the turn- over were the University Vice Presidents- Dr. Razeale Resultay of OVPREI, Dr. Ian Evangelista of OVPLIA, Dr. Celeste Mercado of OVPQA, Dr. Rosario Valencerina of OVPAFM and Dr. Weenalei Fajardo, OIC of OVPASS.
