Organized by the Teacher Education Council (TEC), the academic event aims to train teachers as potential TEC assessors who will assess teacher education centers of excellence in the future and Department of Education teachers’ affirmation of career progression.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas said the participation of PSU will not only enhance the broader goals of advancing education but more so, to be instrumental in the achievement of quality human resources and services in pursuit of excellence.
The PSU delegation include professors who are also university officials led by Vice President Celeste Mercado (Quality Assurance Division), Dr. Cristeta Dulos (GCED Director), Dr. Juan Primitivo Petrola (Presidential Management and Liaison Office Director ), Dr. Liza Quimson (Campus Executive Director and Dr. Jenylyn Oboza (Alaminos City).
With the passage of Republic Act 1228 otherwise known as Career Progression System for Public School Teachers and School Leaders Act in line with Section 8 of RA 11713, the Teacher Education Council takes the lead in establishing a system of recognition that affirms the career stages achieved by teachers and school leaders based on the professional standards.
