Pangasinan State University, under the leadership of President Elbert Galas, strengthened its commitment to lifelong learning and workforce-responsive education by conducting a two-๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ-๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐จ-๐๐ซ๐๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐โ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, at Reginaโs Garden and Restaurant, Lingayen, Pangasinan.
This priority initiative, implemented through the ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ (๐๐๐๐๐๐) in collaboration with the ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ (๐๐๐๐๐๐), addresses industry and academe gaps and responds to the growing needs of PSUโs local and international partner agencies.
Resource speakers from University of the Philippines- Diliman and Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), members of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) technical working group on Lifelong Learning, provided expert guidance on developing and institutionalizing micro-credentials in higher education.
The workshop equipped PSU faculty and program chairs to design flexible, outcomes-based, and industry-aligned micro-credential courses guided by CHED Memorandum Order No. 1, s. 2025. Sessions covered policy alignment, outcomes writing, course outlines and learning maps, assessment tools and proposal development, with hands-on activities and presentations for feedback.
This initiative strengthens PSUโs readiness to implement micro-credentials anchored on quality, inclusivity, sustainability and partnershipsโbuilding a future-ready, globally competitive learning ecosystem. ๐๐
