The Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) in the Ilocos, paid a courtesy visit to the Pangasinan State University as a gesture of appreciation for the Research Team’s initiatives in conducting a comprehensive study on Agriculture.
ATI-RTC-1 Center Director Dr. Rogelio Evangelista and Assistant Center Director Dr. Josephine Aben presented a certificate of appreciation to the University for conducting the “Analysis of the Philippine Agriculture and Fishery Extension System Landscape in the Ilocos Region”.
Results of the said study were presented by PSU Vice-President for Research Extension, Innovation and Gender and Development Dr. Paulo V, Cenas to the management and staff of the Institute in their Manila office on August 2, 2022.
Aside from Dr. Cenas, the appreciation was also extended to the members of the PSU’s Research Team namely Prof. Francis Albert Argente, Bobby Roaring, Thomas Ponce Reyes, Eva Jamaillah Pescador, Jennie Fernandez, Lester Arandia, Ace John Mafk Liwanag and John Austine Delos Santos.
Research, one of PSU’s four-fold core functions, is given utmost support and importance by University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted who believes that an institution will not mature if it doesn’t have researches.
PSU produces an average of 120 researches a year with 80 of these seeing the light of publication.
