Bent on sharing best practices, inspiring the community and building a better future for State Colleges and Universities in the country, the Pangasinan State University welcomed another benchmarking activity on May 31, this time with the Batangas State University (BatSU).
University President Dr. Dexter Buted led the virtual walkthrough of BatSU in PSU’s journey towards achieving Institutional Accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. and other accrediting agencies.
Currently, PSU is a holder of the Level IV Accreditation by AACCUP for its two campuses – Bayambang and Lingayen. It was also bestowed various awards by assessment and accrediting agencies which includes the Center for Development, Center for Excellence, Quality Management System, Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA), Investors in People (IIP) Gold Award and the prestigious Philippine Quality Award Levell III for Quality Management.
It is also in its last leg of preparations for the Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) accreditation.
“Quality and excellence are of prime importance in our university. We infuse the beauty of quality assurance in everything that we do here at PSU. We make the impossible, possible,” Dr. Buted said.
Also present during the benchmarking activity were PSU’s Vice-Presidents – Dr. Manolito C. Manuel for Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs ; Dr. Maria Corazon B. Puzon for Planning & Finance Management ; Dr. Marcelo C. Gutierrez, Jr., for Quality Assurance; Dr. Elbert Galas for Administration and Linkages and Dr. Paulo Cenas for Research, Extension and Innovation, along with other university officials.
Participants from Batangas State University, led by their President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, along with 40 of its officials and personnel who joined via Zoom platform, expressed their gratitude to PSU for sharing the trade secrets, ideas and pointers in the endeavor.
