What began as a graduation requirement has evolved into a digital transformation for Pangasinan State University.

Fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students, Sam Elkane A. Maneclang, Vince Zaratan and Ronnet Angelo S. Quintana have developed the University Accomplishment Planning System (UAPS)- a web-based platform poised to revolutionize how PSUโ€™s nine campuses track, report and align operational accomplishments with strategic goals.

True to the university vision โ€œTo become a leading industry-driven state university in the ASEAN region by 2030, ๐—จ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐——๐—ฟ. ๐—˜๐—น๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐— . ๐—š๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€ is determined to produce dynamic, responsive and future-ready individuals capable of meeting the requirements of the local and global communities and industries as proven once again by this output of said BSIT graduating students.

Under the guidance of Dr. Rhowel M. Dellosa, adviser and Director for Research, the students designed the UAPS for over three months. The system features dashboards, automated consolidation of data from among the campuses, and real-time analytics.

โ€œThe real challenge wasnโ€™t coding – it was understanding the institutional workflow,โ€ Maneclang reflected.

Traditionally, capstone projects serve as academic culminations. But UAPS transcends this boundary- it will be formally adopted by PSU Administration as the universityโ€™s official accomplishment reporting platform for FY 2027, with full roll-out scheduled possibly on the Q1 of FY 2027.
