Partnerships between higher education institutions (HEIs) and firms mediated by students’ curricular internships allow increased mutual benefits in the form of the exchange of knowledge and innovation.
It is for this reason that Dr. Manolito C. Manuel, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Support Services and Dr. Reynaldo T. Gelido, Head of Internship and Employment Services facilitated a meeting together with all Campus Executive Directors, Internship Coordinators, Program Specialization Advisers and Internship Instructors on February 2, 2021, 1PM at Jose De Venecia Building, PSU Main, Lingayen, Pangasinan
During the said meeting, the office of the VPAASS invited all Campus Executive Directors to send the identified presentors for the internship program Implementation Plan.Different presentors from various campuses gathered to convey the plan for their respective programs which includes onsite and home based activities.The implementation of the said Internship plans will be subjected to CHED’s approval.
In addition, during the said meeting, the Internship Coordinators along with the specialization advisers identified the number of students and offices where the students will be deployed in their respective campuses. Despite the threshold of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pangasinan State University as guided by the guidelines from the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) commits to ensure that the interns successfully gain real-world experience that can be applied to their real jobs.
