The celebration of inclusivity in diversity during the Internationalization Week 2024 did not only showcase cultural shows and engagements but also extended to academic talks through the International Education Conference.
Tagged as, ‘Education 5.0: Reinventing, Rehumanizing, and Reinforcing Teaching and Learning for the Future and Beyond,’ a total of 730 research enthusiasts took part in the second day of the IEC conducted hybrid, September 12, 2024.
The said international conference paved the way for 119 research papers to be presented and evaluated by respected research panelists, clustered in three categories – Re-inveting: Innovative Education Paradigms, Re-humanizing Human-centered Learning Approaches and Re-enforcing: Educational Quality and Impact.
Dr. Nguyen Huy Hoang of Thu Duc College of Technology in Vietnam set the tone for a collaborative academic discussion on his topic: Trends, Challenges, and Praxis in Education 5.0.
During the research presentation, Dr. Jomar L. Aban of DMMMSU-MLU, Dr. Marycel T. Sajise of Benguet State University and Dr. Noel Guevara of Urdaneta City University served as evaluators for the onsite event at the ASEANA Hall, Golden Lion Hotel. Dr. Ivy Mejia of University of the Philippines, Dr. Elijah M. Avante of Department of Agriculture, and Dr. Dickson Adom
Nkrumah University of Science And Technology, Ghana were the external evaluators for online participants.
The Office of the Vice President for Local and International Affairs led by Dr. Ian Evangelista through its Continuing Professional Development Office headed by Mr. John Joseph D. Zarate, spearheaded the IEC 2024.
Meanwhile, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay together with Dr. Joseph B. Campit, Director for Research and Development expressed their support to the event. Other OVPLIA directors, Dr. Cristeta Dulos, Asst. Prof. Venus May Sarmiento, De. Jesusa Sanchez, Dr. Krigher Simbulan, Dr Lorena Echalar and Dr. Leizel del Castillo also took part in the event.
In closing, best paper for each cluster and best presenters were recognized in the awarding ceremony. All participants were given corresponding CPD points accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
