The faculty members arrived from several campuses of the University including Asingan (6), Bayambang (10), Infanta (3), Lingayen (10), San Carlos (9), Sta. Maria (1), and Urdaneta (6), bringing the total number of participants to 45. The scheduled courtesy call was organized by the Human Resource Management and Development Office through Office Advisory No. 43, Series of 2026.

Ensuring that all credentials and requirements were thoroughly reviewed as part of the transition to permanent status, Dr. Ailene A. Batang, Acting Board and University Secretary, and Dr. Weenalei T. Fajardo, Vice President for Academics and Student Services, sat with the University President to facilitate the process.

During the meeting, the faculty members introduced themselves to President Galas and shared their professional backgrounds as well as the expertise and skills they bring to the University community.

President Galas said the courtesy call was not intended as an additional requirement or burden for the faculty members but rather a scheduled engagement in the University calendar aimed at developing professional rapport between the administration and its personnel.

He added that the activity allows the University leadership to personally welcome the incoming permanent faculty members and to better understand the contributions they can offer in advancing instruction, research, extension, and community engagement across the Universityโ€™s campuses.

The courtesy call also provided an opportunity for dialogue between the administration and faculty members as they formally begin their roles as permanent members of the PSU academic community.
