The purpose of the very first student virtual forum with the theme, “Better Together” on February 24, 2020 via zoom is to gather feedback regarding the conduct of flexible learning and other services like e-library, online payment and grading system, ICT Konek and distribution of free tablets and SIM cards with load.
The University officials believe that “Better Together” approach will signify the role of students and other stakeholders in various processes which could lead to the enhancement of existing policies and creation of new mechanisms. In addition, Prof. Celeste T. Mercado in her opening remarks magnified that, “the ripple of voices coming from our students will certainly create a wave of change for a better PSU.”
Dr. Dexter R. Buted emphasized in his message that no voice is too little or too big in this University. “Sa pagsasatupad ng ‘Better Together” na adhikain, malalaman namin mula sa inyo aming minamahal na mag-aaral kung paano kami makakapaghatid ng mas dekalidad na serbisyo. Tunay na mas makabuluhan ang bawat hakbangin kung tayo ay magkasama sa landas ng pagbabago at kaunlaran,” added Pres. Buted.
Gathered on the said forum were the University Officials, SSC Coordinators, teachers, student leaders and other concerned stakeholders. Students were given the opportunity to express their concerns and queries. Likewise, the administration conscientiously took into account the gathered information during the said forum and all feedback will be submitted to OVPAASS, Office of the University President and other concerned offices for immediate action. Ms. Jeann Z. De Vera, the FSG President/Student Regent served as the moderator.
