University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas personally led a comprehensive on-site facilities and infrastructure inspection, March 19, aimed at continuous improvement across Pangasinan State University’s Asingan and Urdaneta City campuses.
Joined by university officials, Dr. Cristeta Dulos, Dr. Celeste Mercado, Dr. Jenylyn Oboza, Dr. Liza Quimson, and Dr. Juan Primitivo Petrola, President Galas conducted the evaluation to provide technical guidance on institutional quality enhancement.
“We are doing this infrastructure inspection, to, of course, help our students and faculty achieve excellence not only through our best curricula but through our very facilities that contribute to the over-all performance of our faculty and students,” President Galas stated during the facility tour.
The visit began at the Asingan Campus before proceeding to the Urdaneta City Campus, following a structured program flow: opening, facility tour, and closing session for insights and recommendations.
“We are holding this visit to ensure that our campuses meet the highest standards expected of quality institutions,” said Dr. Celeste Mercado, Vice President for Quality Assurance, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure in delivering quality education.
Campus Executive Directors (CEDs) Dr. Roy Ferrer of Asingan Campus and Dr. Renato Salcedo of Urdaneta City Campus coordinated the activities and opened the review of facility areas.
The event was attended by Deans and Chairpersons and other concerned campus officials whose shared aspiration with the administration is to have conducive working and learning spaces, stressing on the collaborative effort required to sustain quality in teacher education.
During the closing sessions at each campus, President Galas and the university officials provided initial feedback and recommendations for facility maintenance of our state-of-the-art facilities in both Asingan and Urdaneta campuses.
“We are grateful for the guidance provided by our university officials. Their insights will help us maintain and improve our facilities and better serve our future educators,” Dr. Ferrer said in Asingan.
Dr. Salcedo echoed the sentiment in Urdaneta City, adding: “This visit is not just about compliance—it’s about our mandate of producing highly competent, values-driven, and industry-ready graduates for the nation.”
