True to its mission to put premium on its most precious resource — the human resource, Pangasinan State University was recognized in two categories of the Investors in People (IiP) Philippines Awards 2025.
PSU bagged the Finalist award for Social Responsibility and the Runner-Up Award for Inspiring Employee of the Year in a ceremony held in Makati City on September 19, 2025.
IiP Chairperson Janet Webster said PSU was shortlisted and was awarded for the stories about the fantastic work of the academic organization which are ” truly impressive and a demonstration of PSU’s commitment to people”
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas personally received the award from IiP Chairperson Webster and IiP President Gerardo Plana.
“We aim for a just, professional, healthy and sustainable work and academic environment for every PSUnian. We recognize that innovation begins in the workplace and thrives through effective personnel management,” President Galas quipped.
Dr. Galas was accompanied by Vice Presidents Dr. Rosario Valencerina (Admin and Finance) and Dr. Ian Evangelista (Local and International Affairs) and Campus Executive Director Dr. Renato Salcedo (Lingayen) together with Human Resource Office Director Shiela Marie Malicdem and Coordinator Cyfrel Ragusante, Extension Director Dr. Lorena Echalar and Coordinator Jocelyn De Vera and Inspiring Employee awardee Dr. Potenciano Conte.
It can be remembered that PSU is a holder of the IIP Gold Award back in 2021 during the term of the 6th University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted. The distinction is sustained by the present administration of President Galas, preparing the institution in its quest for a platinum award.
