Pangasinan State University, through its Quality Assurance Division and the University Planning Office, spearheaded a benchmarking activity with Kalinga State University (KSU) held at the, Golden Lion Hotel, on February 25, 2026.
The activity served as a venue for the exchange of strategies, practices and operational approaches related to institutional planning, risk-based thinking, internal audit operations, and quality assurance mechanisms.
Discussions highlighted effective planning frameworks, continuous improvement initiatives, and the integration of quality management standards that support institutional development and organizational excellence.
PSU Director for International Accreditation Dr. Randy Joy Ventayen, together with Dr. David Livingstone and Mr. Christian Paul Soriano, led the discussion with the KSU delegation and shared the University’s strategies in achieving national recognitions and quality excellence.
Meanwhile, Planning Director Gregorio Delos Angeles, Jr. emphasized the significant role of the Planning Office in the University’s institutional achievements.
“Planning is considered the brain of the organization; however, it must be participatory, consultative, and responsive to the needs of the entire university community,” he stated.
The delegation from Kalinga State University expressed appreciation for PSU’s openness in sharing its planning and quality assurance initiatives, recognizing the activity as an important step toward enhancing their institutional processes.
Mr. Bernardo Ganotice IV, Internal Auditor of Kalinga State University (KSU), shared his key takeaways from the discussion.
