The reception, graciously hosted by Ken Cheveldayoff, Saskatchewan’s Minister of Advanced Education, gathered Philippine and Canadian partners to explore opportunities for collaboration in trade, research, workforce development, and technology commercialization.
The event served as a platform to strengthen institutional linkages and foster international engagement between Saskatchewan and Philippine stakeholders.

Involved in discussions with representatives from leading Saskatchewan institutions, the PSU delegation exchanged insights on potential partnerships in higher education, innovation, and industry-driven programs.
Saskatchewan, recognized globally for its strengths in agriculture and agri-food, energy and mining, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and innovation-driven trade, continues to expand its international partnerships.
The networking reception is a mechanism to maintain sustainable growth, research collaboration, and global academic cooperation.
For President Galas and the PSU delegation, participation reinforced the University’s industry-driven agenda—aligning academic excellence, research productivity, and global partnerships with practical, on-the-ground solutions.
The engagement provided an avenue to continuously introduce the University within international innovation networks and to explore collaborative pathways that support competitiveness, sustainability and inclusive economic growth.
