In a simple ceremony, University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted sealed the partnership with PRC, represented by Regional Director Atty. Arl Ruth Sacay-Sabelo, through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement that would make PSU-Bayambang Campus an additional testing center.
“The University and all its officials work hand-in-hand with all our stakeholders and partners in fulfilling its vision, mission and objectives springing from its role as a passport of future professionals and leaders. This new partnership only proves PSU’s burning passion to leverage inclusive education for all that is responsive to today’s eventualities,” Dr. Buted said during the ceremony.
Regional Director Sabelo expressed her gratitude to PSU for agreeing to be an additional testing center for the October 2022 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) and future examinations. She added that LEPT examinees from Rosales, Pangasinan and other testing venues may request to transfer exam venue to Bayambang by signifying their intent to transfer.
Witnessing the activity were the five Vice-PresIdents of PSU: Dr. Elbert Galas for Administration and Linkages; Dr. Corazon Puzon for Planning and Finance Management; Dr. Paulo Cenas for Research, Extension and Innovation, Dr. Manolito Manuel for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Marcelo C. Gutierrez for Quality Assurance and the Campus Executive Director of Bayambang Campus, Dr. Liza Quimson.
In attendance from PRC were the Supervisors to include: Dr. Rose Victoria P. Carugay-Quinto of the examination section, Ms. Shiela Borja of the registration section, Mr. John Adrian Malagotnot of the regulation division and Ms. Marie Grace Nava for the finance and administrative division.
Bayambang Campus is one of the biggest campuses of PSU and has earned several academic accolades and recognitions. It is currently celebrating its Centennial year with various activities capped by the establishment of a Centennial Marker.
