Pangasinan State University (PSU) reaffirmed its commitment to internationalization and alumni networking by actively participating in the AppliedHE Xchange Manila Workshop held on February 27–28, 2025, at The Bellevue Manila, Alabang, Filinvest City, Muntinlupa.
Themed “A Global Reach, Local Impact: Leveraging Alumni Networks for Internationalization,” the confab brought together educational experts, and internationalization and alumni chiefs from various institutions in the country.
The conference featured renowned speakers, including Ms. Mandy Mok, CEO of AppliedHE, alongside expert trainers such as Mr. Dary Milani, Pro Vice-Chancellor of La Trobe University, Australia, and Ms. Zeba Salman, Head of International Engagement at Engineers Australia. They provided invaluable insights into the role of alumni in fostering student mobility, enhancing institutional branding, and enhancing global engagement.
The PSU delegation included Dr. Ian D. Evangelista; Vice President for Local and International Affairs, Ms. Leizel M. Del Castillo, Director for International Relations; Dr. Milleohnes DG. Reyes, Deputy Director for Students and Alumni Affairs; Dr. Krigher C. Simbulan, Head for Faculty and Student Mobility; and Mr. Isaiah Ferrer, OVPLIA Secretariat. The team actively participated in interactive discussions, networking opportunities, and workshops during the event.
With the strong support of Dr. Elbert M. Galas, University President, PSU’s engagement in the AppliedHE Xchange Workshop underscores its commitment to strengthening global linkages and enriching academic opportunities through alumni-driven internationalization efforts.
