  7. PSU unveils IP-TBM Marker

Pangasinan State University IP-IS arm in arm with OVPREI marshalled the IP-TBM Marker Unveiling on April 15 through Zoom meeting.

As citadel of intellectual property, PSU in synergy of Intellectual Property-Innovation Support Office headed by Dr. Catalina C. Platon with the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation Office, Dr. Paulo V. Cenas fortifies its Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IP-TBM) mandate through the unveiling of its IP-TBM marker.

The IP-TBM marker is a realized brainchild that sprung from the Project 2D entitled “Enhancing Technology Transfer through IP-TBM in PSU” which runs from January 2020 to December 31, 2021, a momentous achievement of the university that aims to strengthen and sustain the IP-TBM.

‘The unveiling of PSU- IP-TBM marker is a symbolic event which heralds its institutionalization; it also deepens our advocacy for innovation, creativity, and knowledge generation,’ PSU President and staunch IP advocate, Dr. Dexter R. Buted stressed.

The event underscored IP-TBM as an integral component of the University’s Innovation and Technology Supports office (ITSO) through collective initiative of Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources, Research, and Development (PCAARD) in cooperation with Intellectual Property of the Philippines (IPOPHL)

Officials from the aforementioned agencies heralded PSU’s remarkable feat in institutionalizing intellectual property as safeguard of its people and their innovations and creations; striking balance of rights and interests of stakeholders involved. /ksg
