  5. PSU@45 | Lunch Salu-salo

An intimate gathering of PSU employees marked the 45th celebration of the academic institution’s founding anniversary today, July 1, 2024.

PSU personnel convened for a happy salu-salo over lunch in strategic locations in every campus. Simple, healthy food contributed by the divisions, units and departments made a hearty feast for the employees.

In the Main Campus, University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas went table hopping at the pathway of the Tech-Voc Building to personally greet and thank every PSUnian who has contributed to the university’s success in one way or another.

“𝑂𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠, 𝑃𝑆𝑈 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑎 𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑐𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤𝑙𝑒𝑑𝑔𝑒, 𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑐𝑒. The gathering was made much more exciting with the announcement of an Anniversary Bonus for the PSUnians.

Vice President for Administration and Finance Management Dr. Jenelyn Oboza said the bonus is given for every milestone year (every fifth year), subject to certain rules and conditions.

From boodle fight to samgyup to catering services, PSUnians, regardless of academic rank or status, dined together in one long table to celebrate the outpour of blessings that transcends generations.
The gathering is a prelude to the big activities for the Foundation in September when students are back for Academic Year 2024-2025.

Delivering quality education service for 45 years now, the Pangasinan State University brought back all the glory to the Almighty God through a simultaneous Thanksgiving Mass across all its nine campuses.

In the Main Campus in Lingayen, Rev. Fr. Christian Joy DA Bataoil as the Mass Presider, congratulated PSU for its 45th year of providing tertiary education to the community.

He also emphasized that whatever people want to achieve, there will always be many ways to do it, but there will also be many reasons and excuses for someone who does not want to do something. So, it is best to focus on working hard to achieve the dreams and aspirations that pleases the Lord God and emerge victorious from every obstacle, Rev. Fr. CJ explained.

Meanwhile, in his message to PSUnians, University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas thanked the Lord God for the bountiful blessings he bestowed upon PSU.

“𝐴𝑠 𝑤𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑓𝑙𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑟𝑖𝑐ℎ ℎ𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑦, 𝑤𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑠𝑜 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑎 𝑓𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑒.
