The Office of Extension Services of Pangasinan State University welcomed the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) for a benchmarking activity, April 11.

The Meeting of Minds, held at the Research Conference Room, was led by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation (REI) headed by Dr. Razeale G. Resultay.

“We are so grateful that PUP is now one of our brothers and sisters when it comes to research and extension. I know this session would not be the last. We can maximize all platforms for collaboration and discussion as we all know research and extension are two valuable pillars of the academe,” Dr. Resultay said.

The presentation of the best practices discussed by the University Director for Extension Services, Dr. Armando D. Junio, became an avenue for some topics to emerge in the activity.

Funding of extension projects, motivation among faculty and student, and monitoring of projects were discussed during the open forum.

Dr. Rolan J. Malvar, Director for Extension Management office of PUP, conveyed his gratitude in a response message, “We are overwhelmed with the presentation and best mechanisms you are practicing here in PSU. Hindi na po kami magtataka sa mga acheievement na narrating ng university.”

PSU President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas together with the Vice President for Local and International Affairs, Dr. Ian D. Evangelista, also personally met the PUP delegation after the meeting.

Other attendees of the said benchmarking activity were directors and center heads of REI division.
