Quality Assurance Team Ensures Efficiency of PSU Operations in StratPlan 2022

Bent on ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of University operations, hand-in-hand with growing a stronger bond, the Pangasinan State University Quality Assurance (PSU-QA) Team conducted its two-day Strategic Planning cum Team Building with the theme: “Transforming Strategies into Outcomes through Productivity Enrichment and Quality Framework” at the Dawal Beach Resort, Candelaria in Zambales town on July 25-26, 2022. In order to maximize employee potential, maintain worker unity, and increase group performance while having fun, the activity brought together the Quality Assurance Team headed by the Vice-President for Quality Assurance Dr. Marcelo C. Gutierrez, Jr. The Campus QA Coordinators and Document Control Custodians also participated in the said activity. Day 1 began with welcome remarks and a statement of objectives coming from Dr. Gutierrez, followed by the turn-over ceremony of the former Director for Institutional Assurance and Accreditation Dr. Billy C. Festijo to the incoming IAA Director Prof. William V. Cayetano and the Director for Monitoring and Evaluation Dr. David Livingstone T. Ramos. The program then transitioned to the presentation of the Quality Assurance Division’s Annual Operational Plan which was discussed by Information Officer Ms. Nikki B. Soriano. The Vice-President for Administration and Linkages Dr. Elbert C. Galas who served as the guest speaker for the activity, shared the planning and goal setting with a topic ‘In the Eye of A Futurist: The Core Elements of Strategic Planning’. Concluding Day 1 was the awarding of certificates to resource speakers and the awarding of plaques and certificates of recognition to participants. The second day was filled with team-building activities that fostered caramaderie and team work among the QA group. The PSU QA expresses its profound gratitude to the ever-inspiring visionary University President, Dr. Dexter R. Buted for engaging the employees to be involved in activities such as this that provided chances for the team’s leaders and members to get to know one another better, exchange thoughts and goals, and debate or address crucial topics in order to continue to develop PSU’s Quality Assurance for higher educational success.
