Pangasinan State University’s best practices took center stage in the benchmarking activity with Romblon State University.

The two academic institutions engaged in discussions on operations related to curriculum development, student services and institutional governance on January 22, 2026.

𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐒𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄π₯π›πžπ«π­ 𝐌. π†πšπ₯𝐚𝐬 graced the Meeting of Minds, welcoming the RSU delegation led by its President, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐏. π‚πšπ­πšπ£πšπ²-𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐒.
β€œThe implementation of a quality management system in the university is where it should all start. Through its establishment, refined processes and effective operations may flourish,” President Galas said.

Two PSU Vice Presidents, Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, CESE, for Local and International Affairs and Dr. Celeste T. Mercado for Quality Assurance, joined the meeting and shared insights on queries raised during the discussions.

Directors Dr. Cristie Marie C. Dalisay for Curriculum and Instruction and Ms. Marienuelle T. Aquino for Student and Alumni Affairs led the presentations while Director for PRIO, Ms. Venus May H. Sarmiento moderated the. open forum in the event.

Concerns related to review centers, scholarships, student incentives, the offering of Senior High School programs in laboratory schools, and employment rates among graduates were discussed.

In her response, RSU President Mani expressed gratitude to PSU for generously sharing its notable steps toward innovation and excellence. β€œWe are following PSU from the shadows, and we will continue to follow the university until we too achieve such accolades,” the RSU President added.
The event was held at the Golden Lion Hotel.
