Pangasinan State University’s Office of the Vice President for Local and International Affairs (OVPLIA) continues to intensify international connections with Japanese universities as select officials met with Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU) official for a corporate meeting last May at the Osaka Prefectural Government Office, Osaka, Japan.
In the said meeting, OVPLIA officials discussed possible collaborations that the two state universities may venture in various areas including research partnerships, and academic exchange among others.
The OVPLIA officials, led by its Vice President Dr. Ian D. Evangelista, were accompanied by Hon. Nishida Yoshi, a legislative member of the Osaka Prefectural Assembly, who provided a tour of the session hall and offered insights into the Japanese political landscape.
Under the stewardship of PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, OVPLIA’s international visit marks a significant step for PSU towards fostering sustainable educational ties and collaborative endeavors with various institutions and organizations globally.
