Pangasinan State University welcomed Catanduanes State University delegates for the Meeting of Minds: benchmarking activity on July 12, 2024.
The universityβs best mechanisms and practices in Extension Services Office and College of Computing Sciences in curricula development were presented in the said meeting at the Audio-Visual Room, Lingayen Campus.
Vice Presidents, Dr. Manolito C. Mauel and Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, represented by Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, Campus Executive Director for PSU Lingayen, personally welcome the CSU delegation while sharing the importance of collaboration such as the meeting of minds in redefining existing practices and in providing intervention on the recurring gaps in the academe.
In the presentation, Dr. Armando D. Junio, University Director for Extension Services Unit and Dr. Joebert Ballesteros, Campus Coordinator, talked about the significance of the office in reaching out to communities especially the marginalized ones and those lacking support. Dr. Junio shared “Extension Unit claims to be the powerhouse of community engagements towards development and sustainability.β
PSU Lingayen chairpersons in the college of Computing Sciences, Dr. Ma. Sheryl Sunga and Dr. Carla Carmela Ramos presented the innovation and the adaptation of curricula evolvement of the college.
In response, Ma. Emma T. Delluza of CSU College of Information and Communications Technology, thanked PSU for the accommodation and openness to partnership and support needed as CSU will advance to accreditation in the future.
Funding of extension projects and programs, crafting of curricula and research among faculty members were discussed in the said benchmarking activity.
Catanduanes SU delegates were later on given a tour in the actual offices of the said units.
