The Pangasinan State University welcomed Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) delegates for a benchmarking activity on Wednesday, December 13.
The activity was held at the Administration Building, Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance Management for a more relaxed vibe.
Welcoming the CNSC delegates headed by Mr. Ronnie E. Asis, Director for Auxiliary Services and Business Affairs, was Prof. Venus May H. Sarmiento, Director for Public Relations and Information Office (PRIO), who re-echoed statements of the PSU President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas.
“Ipinaparating po ng mahal naming Presidente [Dr. Galas] ang mainit niyang pagtanggap sa inyo… Our University President would also like to ensure that your visit will yield to a fruitful journey of innovation and collaboration,” Prof. Sarmiento said.
The CNSC delegates, who traveled from Bicol Region to North Luzon, fixated their queries and discussions on topics revolving processes on incentives, petty cash, Hostel incomes, manpower in the hotel, concessioners’ privileges and computation of gross income during the open forum.
Leading the discussion on the best practices in the university were Dr. Narciso F. Castro, Director for Income Generating Projects (IGP) Office and the University Accountant Mr. Rennie Martinez.
Mr. Asis said in his response message that he is more than thankful for the valuable insights shared by the University in refining processes in their institution.
“We are grateful and amazed on the concepts you have rendered to us. We will use it as guiding concepts in the CNSC. I hope that through this activity, we will foster future collaborations,” the director added.
After the event in the office, CNSC team got a chance to have a tour of the PSU Golden Lion Hotel amenities, an IGP project of PSU.
They also met with PSU President, Dr. Galas, and former University President, Dr. Dexter R. Buted, who were attending an equally important regional symposium but managed to squeeze time to meet the Camarines Norte delegates.
A short talk of practical tips in the areas of income generating projects and potential ventures to materialize were shared by the two PSU experts to the visiting delegates.
PSU continuously opens its doors to SUCs and organizations to share best practices that would lead to the improvement of systems and management processes of the visiting delegation.
