The Accelerating Salt Research & Innovation (ASIN) Center project of PSU and the Department of Science and Technology now has an Operational Manual certified by the Bureau of Copyright and Related Rights
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas commended Vice President Dr. Razeale Resultay of the Research, Extension and Innovation Division and Project Leader Engr. Rex B. Basuel for the completion of the Manual and for facilitating the Transfer Certificate of Copyright Registration.
In the Certificate signed by Atty. Emerson G. Cuyo, director of the Bureau of Copyright and Related Rights, Pangasinan State University is the registered copyright owner of the Manual authored by Engr. Basuel with content input from Dr. Galas, Dr. Resultay and the REI Team.
“The recordation of copyright transfer is submitted to the National Library of the
Philippines (NLP), through the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines
(IPOPHL), for the purpose of completing the records of the NLP in accordance with
Section 182 of Republic Act No. 8293, the Intellectual Property Code of the
Philippines,” the certificate stipulates.
The National ASIN Center, being constructed at PSU Binmaley Campus, was established under the DOST-Niche Centers in the Regions (NICER) Program. It is a
center that focuses on developing new and innovative salt production methods, improving existing processes and identifying new markets for salt. PSU won the right to operate and manage the said Center.
