Recognizing excellent services and fruitful contributions of university personnel to Pangasinan State University, an Awards Convocation was held on December 22 at the Aseana Hall of Golden Lion Hotel.

PSU exemplars include service awardees, retirees, and posthumous awardees.

PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas acknowledged the significant role of every employee in responding to the needs of the community. Dr. Galas even shared that the workforce is the backbone of any organization and its most valuable asset.

“They our competitive advantage and lifeblood above all. With PSU, being a people-centered institution, it is our paramount responsibility to safeguard people’s welfare to cater to their needs and to design programs that support their continuous development,” Dr. Galas added.

Former PSU President Dr. Dexter R. Buted, now VP for Administration and Finance Management, also shared the key important concepts for excellent service delivery to people.

Meanwhile, Dr. Flordeliza C. Bugtong, Director IV for CSC-FO Western Pangasinan recounted statements included in the ‘Panunumpa Ng Kawani Ng Gobyerno’ as guiding philosophy in embodying true public service.

“Don’t work for recognition but work worthy of recognition,” Dir. Bugtong shared.

University officials such as the Vice President for REIGn, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, also joined in the event as she is also one of the service awardees.
In the quest of promoting and providing quality education, Pangasinan State University, which marked its 44th founding anniversary this year, tirelessly imparted the tradition of celebrating success like this event to commend dedicated individuals serving the public.
