Upholding the standards of instruction, the Pangasinan State University set in motion the conduct of the Second Quarter Academic Council Meeting on May 6, 2024.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas said PSU commits to deliver high quality management systems incorporating transparency and smooth flow of university endeavors through the gathering of concerned offices for effective communication.
President Galas and Vice President for Academics and Student Services Dr. Manolito C. Manuel, along with Vice Presidents Dr. Razeale Resultay of REI, Dr. Jenelyn Oboza of Administration and Finance, Dr. Ian Evangelista of Local and International Affairs and Prof. Celeste Mercado of Quality Assurance, Executive Directors of the Campuses, SAS and OUS spearheaded the attendance of university officials. Faculty members from the nine campuses also joined via the Zoom platform.
Proposals for deliberation included Projects CREATE, harmonized retention policies for degree programs, work allocation and scheduling, recalibrated grading system, board exam review, student well-being programs, as well as proposals for memorandum of agreement.
The council meeting ensures that the university provides guidance on teaching strategies, evaluation of student works and raising of academic standards. With the coordinative efforts of the whole university, the management keeps up in supplementing the fullest possible development of faculty and student’s abilities and prospects for success on their future undertakings.
