It’s accreditation season once again for the various campuses of Pangasinan State University, and its President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, is working hand in hand with area chairs in preparing for the evaluation.

According to the University President, quality mechanisms such as accreditation, international rankings, certifications, and other QA initiatives have long been part of the university’s goal to advance quality education in the academe.

Dr. Galas added that beyond these programs, quality assurance will continue to be embedded in the processes and operations of the offices.

President Galas was the former Director and Vice President for Quality Assurance prior his election as the University President which made him an on-the-go consultant for QA endeavors of the campuses and offices in the university.

PEMG together with the Vice President for Quality Assurance, Dr. Celeste T. Mercado, and the Campus Executive Director for Lingayen Campus, Dr. Marie Claire Briones, convened for a meeting to review the five areas for program accreditation scheduled for October 29–31.

The meeting was held on October 20, 2025.
