Pangasinan State University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, met with PSU Bayambang Retirees’ Association (BRA) in a focus group discussion for the development of the PSU Bayambang Centennial Coffee Table Book, at the Campus Learning Resource Center, last October 8.
The project aims to document, establish, and preserve the rich centennial history of the PSU Bayambang Campus through the valuable contributions of PSU BRA members—distinguished individuals who began their journey as students of the institution, later served as faculty members, and eventually became part of the campus administration.

The project team also includes former Campus Executive Director Dr. Gudelia M. Samson and faculty members from the Social Studies Department—Dr. Cheryl C. Mendoza, Mr. Reginald Austria, Mr. Julius Cayabyab, and Mrs. Mary Joy Austria.
Representing the PSU BRA were Dr. Clarita G. Jimenez, former Campus Dean (Campus Executive Director) of PSU Bayambang; Dr. Lita A. Saygo, former Campus Dean (Campus Executive Director) of PSU Bayambang; Dr. Raquel C. Pambid, former Center Head of the PSU-DOST Food Innovation Center and professor from the Science and Math Department.; Dr. Annie C. Manalang, former Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology (CAST); Dr. Ofelia R. Fernandez, former Student Services Coordinator and professor from the Professional Education Department; Dr. Adela J. Paragas, former Research Coordinator and professor from the Science and Math Department; and Dr. Leticia B. Ursua, former Student Paper Adviser and professor from the Languages Department.
The participation of the Pangasinan State University Bayambang Retirees’ Association (PSU BRA) in this initiative underscores their continued commitment to the academic growth and development of the PSU Bayambang Campus community. Their active involvement exemplifies lifelong dedication to educational excellence and institutional advancement—proving that their meaningful contributions continue to enrich the University well beyond their years of service.
The meeting marked a significant step toward preserving the campus’s institutional memory and celebrating the milestones that shaped its 100-year journey—reflecting the University’s dedication to documenting its heritage, honoring its pioneers, and strengthening its identity as a beacon of academic excellence.
