Exchanging noteworthy information and revolutionary ideas as presented by its stakeholders, the Pangasinan State University (PSU), in collaboration with Indonesia’s Politeknik Negeri Banyuwagi (Poliwangi), held an online consultation meeting via Zoom on Monday, April 29, 2024.
The program began with an opening remarks by Dr. Ian D. Evangelista, Vice President for Local and International Affairs. He also represented Dr. Elbert M. Galas, University President, in the said meeting. Director M. Shofi’ul Amin then imparted his message, emphasizing the significance of the conference.
Dr. Roy C. Ferrer, the Campus Executive Director of PSU-Urdaneta, then introduced the participants of the conference, mainly from the two universities.
Highlighting their mission, vision, and core values, the mentioned educational institutions presented their institutional profiles.
Right after, Dr. Riza Rahimi Bachtiar, the Head of Cooperation and International Affairs, provided a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which reflects the mutual understanding between the two parties with regards to working together, laying out their expectations and responsibilities.
Some of the topics being presented by staff of PSU are as follows:
PSU System, REIGn System, Research Focus presented by Mr. Bobby F. Roaring;
PSU-Urdaneta’s College of Engineering and Architecture Programs presented by Engr. Ronnel L. Moreno, (OIC) Chairman of the Civil Engineering Department; and
Development of a Learning Management System for Programming Courses presented by Mr. Paul Andrew V. Roa.
The program ended with a closing remark by Ms. Liezel M. Del Castillo, the Director for International Relations.
Through the coordination of Ms. Jennifer M. Parrone, PSU Urdaneta’s International Relations Coordinator, with Poliwangi, the connection between the two institutions has been established.
