The Pangasinan State University through its Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) actively engaged in the 12th Month Investors in People (IiP) Review Visit on Tuesday, October 24.
Investing in the improvement of the institution’s people management processes and creating a better environment for all its workforce, PSU top management led by the University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas gathered at the Kalachuchi Hall of Golden Lion Hotel for the said meeting conducted hybridly to include online participants.
PSU, as an Investors in People Gold awardee since 2021, detailed updates among areas on current business context, goals and strategies, current priorities and challenges, people practice updates/improvements, objectives for leadership and people, and innovations and achievements during the meeting with the IiP Philippines Chairman, Ms. Janet Webster.
Pres. Galas set off the presentation of the reports alongside Vice Presidents Dr. Manolito C. Manuel, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Ian Evangelista, PSU IiP Focal Person Ms. Leizel Del Castillo and other HRMDO staff.
“PSU as an educational institution, anticipates major movements, patterns and trends that will have strong, deep and sustained impacts in the foreseeable future such as technological vulnerabilities, digital realities, and fluid economies on a borderless world. These are the driving forces that define the world at present and that of tomorrow,” Dr. Galas shared in the report.
The University President also added that the cited reasons serve as springboard that calls for more focused attention to the demands of the industry amidst a rapidly changing environment and also embodying the new crafted Vision and Mission of PSU.
In the meeting, Campus Executive Directors (CEDs), HRMDO Director Dr. Lorena B. Echalar and other university officials joined through the Microsoft Teams platform and diligently participated in the discussions.
IiP Philippines Chairman, Ms. Webster who joined online, said that she is excited for the reports considering all the consistency of each program and project and the establishment and implementation of plans laid out in the university.
Questions emphasized by Ms. Webster after the presentation revolved around the adaptation of the new mission and vision, SALT NICER project, establishment of Research centers, materializing academic programs and implementation of curricula, ISO Certification and HRIS Management.
The said review visit ended with an enthusiastic atmosphere as Ms. Webster commended PSU for its excellent pursuits while encouraging the team to join future programs of IiP and be open for communication especially in Investors in People Platinum status.
