Pangasinan State University (PSU) hosted a benchmarking activity on EOMS certification with Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) on September 10, 2025.
๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐, ๐ซ๐. ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด. ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐, said that PSU remains open to accommodating higher education institutions (HEIs) in their shared commitment to quality education.
Dr. Galas, former Director and Vice President for Quality Assurance and a prime mover of quality mechanisms in the university, personally welcomed the MMSU delegation.
โPlease know that PSU is truly grateful for your interest in learning from our best practices. We may not hold the best mechanisms in all areas, but we assure you that we will always give our best in pursuit of our common goal, answering the call for excellence,โ Dr. Galas said.
The Office of the Vice President for Quality Assurance (OVPQA), headed by VP Dr. Celeste T. Mercado, led the presentation of PSUโs best practices.
โWe join you in pursuing quality in your university. We hope this activity will benefit both our institutions, as it is a good avenue to learn from each other,โ VP Mercado added.
Joining her were OVPQA Directors Dr. Randy Joy Ventayen and Asst. Prof. William Cayetano, who also shared insights on PSUโs systems and practices.
Discussions during the meeting covered faculty evaluation, local accreditation and curriculum-related concerns, along with areas in academics, research and internationalization.
Directors Ms. Marienuelle T. Aquino, Ms. Leizel Del Castillo, and Unit Head Dr. Regina F. Santos also took part in the benchmarking activity.
In his response, MMSU Vice President and head of the delegation, Dr. Ariis Reynold V. Cajigal, expressed confidence in partnering with PSU for the initiative.
