On February 24, 2023, the Pangasinan State University sealed a Memorandum Agreement with Guanzon Group of Companies in a ceremony held at the 2nd floor of Los Pedritos Restaurant, Tapuac District, Dagupan City.

On behalf of the University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, Dr. Manolito C. Manuel, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs represented PSU together with Prof. Celeste T. Mercado, Director for Student and Alumni Affairs with the Deputy Director Dr. Jocelyn Abalos, Dr. Regina F. Santos, Head for Career and Skills Development and Dr. Liza Quimson, CED of San Carlos City Campus.

Dr. Manuel in his message thanked Guanzon for their overwhelming support and assistance as partners in capacitating PSUnians with industry-based skills and competencies which is the focus of the new PSU Vision under the leadership of Dr. Galas.

Mr. Guanson Lo, the President of Guanzon mentioned that he was looking forward to having meaningful partnership with PSU as he believes that both organizations carry the same purpose which is to be of help in uplifting the lives of Pangasinenses.

The following are the areas of partnership:

1.Setting of technician training center specifically catered for small engines by providing students to undergo training and/or referrals of PSU graduates that are eligible;

2. Providing eligible students for internship programs centered around hospitality, motorcycle, and information technology industries that Guanzon Group can accommodate for their training and development;

3. Providing Scholarship program for PSU students;

4. Referring PSU graduates and alumni for jobs that Guanzon Group is need of such as but not limited to Engineering, Accountancy, Information Technology;

5. Inviting Guanzon Group to conduct career talks for students; and job fairs for current students, PSU graduates and alumni;

6. Providing Guanzon Group with team teaching programs i.e., conduct trainings for employees, as requested and on a need-to basis;

7. Supporting Business courses etc ; and

8. Agreeing to participate in programs initiated by Guanzon Group in line with their corporate social responsibility such as but not limited to tree planting activities, recycling of electronic waste, shore clean-up, and all other environment-laden projects.
