In accordance with Pangasinan State University’s application to the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) associate membership, the university sent two university officials to a higher-level training on May 6-9, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The onsite training course for accomplishing program assessment, version 4.0 or the AUN-QA Tier 1 for Program Assessment Training is one of the requirements for the university’s membership.
Vice President for Quality Assurance Dr. Celeste T. Mercado and Director for Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Weenalei T. Fajardo joined 40 other participants from different ASEAN universities as this venture will automatically qualify the university to become an associate member of AUN-QA.
The training enabled the participants to: describe the AUN-QA program assessment process; explain each of the criteria for program assessment; apply the requirements to an academic program; and perform a gap analysis for program improvement.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas said the activity will initiate PSU’s quest to international accreditation through. He added that PSU’s international presence and membership will redound to the benefit of students especially in giving them a great advantage in employment opportunities.
