For the third straight year, Pangasinan State University received the prestigious ICONS Award 2025 bestowed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
ICONS or the International Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2025 salutes the high impact initiatives of Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) towards sustainability, ASEAN awareness and internationalization.
The Certificate of Commendation was conferred to PSU for βserving as an exemplary champion of the future of Philippine higher education, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to internationalization and sustainability as evidenced by its outstanding and noteworthy performance in globally-recognized university rankings and rating particularly in the World University Ranking for Innovation (WURI) and the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings
The award was personally received by PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas from CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis with the Commissioners during the ceremony on December 10, 2025 held at the Philippine International Convention Center.
