Pangasinan State University, in its bid to establish a Risk Management Plan, revisited its existing Risk Management Manual through an orientation-workshop on September 12, 2025.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas said it is imperative to
look into the framework and documentation for a consistent identification, analysis, evaluation and treatment of risks.
Process owners were convened to create and protect value, improve decision-making, achieve objectives and enhance performance, said Vice President Celeste Mercado in her message during the opening program.
Risk Management Unit Head Mr. Christian Paul Soriano presented the steps in the formulation of the plan that includes risk identification analysis criteria and action priority decisions.
Eight areas were initially identified as risk items: technology; disaster; health, safety and security; financial; academic; human resource; legal and reputational; and environmental risks.
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Unit headed by Director David Livingstone Ramos said the outputs from the activity will serve as inputs enhancement of the University Risk Management Process Manual and ultimately the University Risk Management Plan.
