Passing a Board Examination is a formidable feat and topping these licensure tests is an achievement extraordinaire.
For this, Pangasinan State University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted devised a system of cash incentives for those who made it to the Top 10 of the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC)- sanctioned examinations.
The latest recipients of the institutionalized motivational systems known as the Board Topnotchers Awards are: THOMAS JEFFERSON FERNANDO of PSU-Asingan Campus who landed Top 3 in the January 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers and ENGR. JASON S. MEJIA of PSU -Urdaneta City Campus who clinched the third spot in the May 2022 Licensure Examination for Civil Engineers.
The cash incentive of P100,000 was personally handed by Dr. Buted to each of the two topnotchers on May 17 at the university board room as witnessed by the Institution’s Vice-Presidents: Dr. Elbert Galas (Adminstration and Linkages), Dr. Manolito Manuel (Academic and Student Affairs), Dr. Paulo Cenas (Research and Extension), Dr. Corazon Puzon (Finance and Planning) and Dr. Marcelo Gutierrez (Quality Assurance), together with Office Directors and Unit Heads.
Fernando and Mejia expressed their gratitude to PSU for the cash incentives that would greatly help their families. (Read: Feature Story on the Topnotchers)
The recipients were accompanied by their parents, coaches and Campus Executive Directors Dr. Armando Junio (Asingan) and Dr. Honorio Cascolan (Urdaneta City).
The awarding of cash incentives aims to instill inspiration to students and faculty members of board programs to excel academically and to do their best in preparing for the licensure examinations.
Congratulations, PSU, the Home of Topnotchers!
