Pangasinan State University, in pursuit of serving its clientele with utmost transparency, strengthened its commitment to the Freedom of Information (FOI) advocacy through meetings, orientations and proper handling of requests.
FOI Receiving Officers of PSU convened in several university-wide meetings to ensure that request for information from the public are properly addressed.
It can be noted that PSU FOI-ROs also joined the nationwide orientation on FOI conducted by the FOI -Program Management Team under the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on January 12, 2026.
FOI, which empowers citizens to request government information under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016), allows access to public records, transaction and data, except for sensitive national security or privacy matters.
