Pangasinan State University professors joined other education experts and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Global Peace Convention 2023 held on December 12-13, 2023.

Dr. Cristeta C. Dulos, Dr. Lorena B. Echalar and Dr. Juan Primitivo Petrola represented the university in the said two-day education congress held at the University of Makati and Marriot Hotel.

Dubbed as ‘One Family under God: Vision for National Transformation and Civilization of Peace,’ the convention aimed to integrate peace education into higher education curricula, contributing to just and lasting peace and sustainable development.

“Serving as a platform for empowering educators, it facilitated the development and implementation of peace education programs, showcasing best practices and initiatives among Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to leave a lasting impact on the education system, youth leadership and the pursuit of peace and sustainable development,” Global Peace Convention posted.

The 2023 Global Peace Convention also aimed to develop ethical educators and young leaders with a mindset of peace coming from various backgrounds of faith, culture, nationality and ethnicity rooted in universal principles, values and aspirations, working towards the common goal as one human family.

PSU, led by University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, through its newly emerged division, Office of the Vice President for Local and International Affairs (OVPLIA), secures its mandate towards innovation while bringing PSU to the global arena.
