The university maintains a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) system led by the Office of the Vice President for Quality Assurance (OVPQA). This institutional QA system is integrated into the wider institutional management system through its alignment with the Strategic Development Plan and Annual Operational Plan (AOP), using a Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. QA processes are embedded across academic and support services to ensure alignment with institutional goals, quality benchmarks, and continuous improvement mechanisms. The PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle is explicitly applied in unit-level planning and reporting processes, particularly through internal audit documentation, evaluation reports, and quality monitoring templates. While the accomplishment reports do not contain labeled PDCA sections, the cycle is inherently followed in the reporting of planned activities, implemented initiatives, monitoring of results, and formulation of improvement actions.
Top management provides strategic and operational support for this QA system and the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) process. Formal orders, administrative memoranda, and participation in Management Review Meetings by the University President and Vice Presidents demonstrate executive leadership in the institutionalization and reinforcement of QA. Internal Quality Audits, conducted by a pool of trained auditors, are scheduled ahead of the biannual Management Review Meetings to provide evidence-based inputs for decision-making.
Administrative Orders are issued to designate QA Coordinators and Internal Auditors, while QA and IQA activities are aligned with strategic and operational planning at all levels.
The university has received various QA-related recognitions, including the Philippine Quality Award (PQA), ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 21001:2018 certifications. It actively participates in benchmarking initiatives and is frequently visited by other institutions seeking to learn from its QA best practices, particularly in light of its PQA recognition
