Recognizing the efforts in pursuing ethics service and patriotism, Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadets gathered for the Donning of Ranks ceremony on July 14.
About 400 students under the ROTC program of Pangasinan State University and Philippine College of Science and Technology (PhilCST) hailing from the 104th Community Defense Center joined the said ceremony at the Sison Auditorium, Lingayen, Pangasinan.
Instilling a sense of purpose and motivation, the PSU’s Director for National Service Training Program (NSTP), Physical Education and Sports Development Office Dr. Arlene Kon-ek served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker of the ‘Donning of Ranks of Advance ROTC cadets’ ceremony.
“Leadership, dear cadets, is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence. As you advance, remember to uplift those around you, lead by example and continuously learn from each experience,” the Director shared to the graduates.
Dr. Kon-ek added that the ceremony is not just about individual achievements rather a reaffirmation of collective commitment to serve community and the country.
Other University representatives together with Dr. Kon-ek and ROTC commandants led the pinning of ranks to the ROTC cadets.
Embarking on leadership journey, the University cadets were students from Lingayen, Binmaley, Alaminos, Infanta, San Carlos and Bayambang campuses.
