With the initiative to enhance educators’ knowledge in Action Research Proposal, the Professional Education Department conducted a comprehensive writing workshop at Bani Elementary School on November 10, 2023, and at Tanolong Elementary School on November 17, 2023 with the aim to guide teachers through the complexity of creating effective Action Research.
Dr. Vemma Mae Guinto, a Professional Education faculty, delved into the essence of Action Reseach highlighting how members of the community should be involved in planning and decision making in the school. Legal bases of action research have also been tackled alongside the recommended websites that will aid the teachers in writing. The event was graced by the Professional Education Faculty who shared invaluable knowledge and experiences in the realm of research and its application in education.
Dr. Guinto shared personal experiences, leaving a note on the transformative power of perseverance amidst facing challenges in their teaching career.
The workshop emphasized that “Action Research is the Lifeline of Educators,” fostering professional development through addressing different problems and finding innovative solutions.
Respected Principal Glenda Peralta of Tanolong Elementary School expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to learn about writing action research provided by the Pangasinan State University through the Professional Education Department. She also urged participants to create draft titles, offering possible subjects including parental involvement in the educational process and creative approaches improving student learning development in remedial reading.
The event received positive feedback from the participants leaving them valuable knowledge to foster a sense of unity between the teachers and the community along with their ability and knowledge to enhance their Action Research.
