Pangasinan State University once again celebrated academic excellence as Cluster B of the 46th Commencement Exercises was held on August 14, 2025.

The cluster comprised of graduates from PSU Lingayen Campus, with a total of 1,778 undergraduates receiving their hard-earned diplomas.

๐‘ท๐‘บ๐‘ผ ๐‘ท๐’“๐’†๐’”๐’Š๐’…๐’†๐’๐’• ๐‘ซ๐’“. ๐‘ฌ๐’๐’ƒ๐’†๐’“๐’• ๐‘ด. ๐‘ฎ๐’‚๐’๐’‚๐’” urged the graduates to continue striving for excellence as community developers, technology innovators, industry drivers, and leaders of society.

โ€œMga minamahal kong nagsipagtapos, nais kong tandaan ninyo na โ€˜Ang PSUnian ay hindi lamang para sa Pangasinan โ€” siya, ikaw, kayo, tayo ay para sa mundo.โ€™ Palawakin ang inyong mga lunggati. Mag-isip din para sa bayan,โ€ Galas said.

He further reminded them, โ€œTuklasin ang daigdig. Patuloy na mangarap para sa sarili, magulang at mga mahal sa buhay. Laging magpakabuti para sa isang Bagong Pilipinas.โ€

Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman Atty. George Erwin Garcia served as guest speaker for the cluster.

In his video message, Garcia urged the graduates to extend their gratitude to the university for pioneering efforts in honing their competence, along with the dedication of its personnel.
“Sana po ito ay maging simula ng isa pang mas malaking hakbang sa mga susunod pa na hamon ng ating buhay. Huwag po sana tayong susuko,” Atty. Garcia added.

Officials present at the event included Atty. Kandace Palagud representing Pangasinan Governor Ramon V. Guico III, who gave a heartfelt message to the graduates. Municipal Councilor Jolo Lopez joined the celebration on behalf of Lingayen Municipal Mayor, Josefina V. Castaรฑeda.

To note, Cluster B produced the two highest Latin honors across all clusters. Summa Cum Laude graduates Gladys G. Unto and Angelica Mae O. Fernandez, both from the BS Hospitality Management program.

In her message of gratitude, Unto recounted her experience as a self- supporting student and a person diagnosed with heart problem.

“Huwag hayaang ang kabiguan ang siyang sa atin ay magpapasuko bagkus gawin itong kalasag na magagamit natin sa kinabukasan,” the twenty-nine-year old Unto said.

PSU University officials along with Campus Executive Director for Lingayen, Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, joined the celebration and congratulated the new batch of PSU alumni.
