This featured episode focuses on a significant extension activity by the College of Teacher Education, a training on Gender-Sensitized Instructional Intervention Strategies to enhance word recognition skills for high school English language learners. Conducted the previous year, the training addressed both the instructional challenges teachers face and the specific needs of their students.
Dr. Kenna Samson, a faculty member from the Pangasinan School of Arts and Trade, reflected on her transformative experience during the training. Dr. Jaynard Hernandez, a master teacher, also shared how the extension program not only enhanced his teaching methods but deeply impacted his students’ learning outcomes. Ms. Virginia Perez, a head teacher, expressed her admiration for PSU Lingayen and the program implementers, commending their dedication and efforts in supporting educators. The success of this episode was made possible by the unending support of Dr. Jonathan Estrada, principal of PSAT.
Led by Campus Executive Director Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, the PSU Lingayen team delivered an exceptional episode highlighting the voices of beneficiaries. Key faculty members Dr. Beverly Fernandez, Mr. Leo P. De Vera, Jr., Mr. Jameson N. Estrada, Mr. Sylvester M. Victorio, Mr. Joebert D. Ballesteros, and Ms. Gerli Ryza Reyes played an important role in facilitating interviews, capturing authentic and impactful stories.
