The latest recipients of Pangasinan State University’s institutionalized motivational awards known as Board Topnotchers Awards are the three Topnotchers from the Expanded Tertiary Education and Equivalency Program (ETEEAP).
In the June 2024 Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE), three ETEEAP alumni from PSU Asingan Campus landed in the Top Ten list of successful examinees and on November 27, 2024, they received their monetary incentives from PSU.
Top 2 Jenefer S. Gregorio who garnered 86.80% in the Elementary Level received P100,000 pesos while Top 6 Alice C. Cao with 85.40% rating and Top 9 Ma. Nancy Biswas with a rating of 87.60%, received P80,000 each.
Ms. Gregorio is working as a tutor and caregiver in Abu Dhabi. Ms. Cao is a Physical Education Teacher in Doha, Qatar while Ms. Biswas is an English Teacher in Dhaka, Bangladesh when they enrolled at PSU’s ETEEAP.
The incentives were received by their parents from University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas who was joined by University ETEEAP Director Dr. Cristie Marie Dalisay, Director Marinuelle Aquino of Students and Alumni Services, Asingan Campus Executive Director Dr. Madlyn Tingco and ETEEAP coordinators and faculty from Asingan.
President Galas told the parents that the motivation and success of their children’s examination determines their passion and love for knowledge and that the university is always in support of the endeavors of its students and alumni.
The awarding of cash incentives, that started during the term of former President Dr. Dexter R. Buted and continued until today through President Galas, aims to instill inspiration to students and faculty members of board programs to excel academically and to do their best in preparing for the licensure examinations.
