Members of the media, led by the Media Accreditation and Relations Office (MARO) of Malacanang, proceeded to the Golden Lion Hotel of Pangasinan State University after providing coverage to the visit of His Excellency Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. in Lingayen town on November 22, 2024.
MARO on-site Jose Maria Taylo and some members of the Malacanang Press Corps were accompanied by their regional counterpart, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) led by Regional Director Jennilyne C. Role, based in La Union province. They were joined by members of the Pangasinan media for a simple salu-salo.
The media groups were warmly welcomed by PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas who thanked them for choosing to stay at GLH.
Incidentally, President Bongbong Marcos was in Pangasinan to personally distribute much-needed financial assistance to agricultural workers who were affected by the six devastating typhoons that occurred in less than a month. The Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families (PAFFF) provided P10,000 financial support to 5,000 Pangasinenses.
