Pangasinan State University Enhances Student Support with Flexible Counseling Services
The Pangasinan State University Guidance Services Office provides essential counseling and psychosocial services that play a key role in supporting students’ academic, social, emotional, and personal growth. Recognizing that well-being is foundational to educational success, the office offers a comprehensive support system tailored to meet diverse student needs.
To maximize accessibility, the office provides both face-to-face and online counseling options. In-person sessions foster a personal connection between students and counselors, creating a comfortable environment for discussing concerns. Online counseling, meanwhile, offers a flexible and private alternative, accommodating students who may be off-campus or prefer the convenience of remote support. This dual approach reduces wait times, offers faster scheduling, and eliminates the need for travel, ensuring students can access timely assistance.
By combining flexibility with accessibility, PSU Lingayen’s counseling services are dedicated to making student support efficient, inclusive, and effective. These resources are a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering student success and well-being.
PSU Conducts Psychological Assessments for OJT and Practice Teaching Students
From February 10 to 27, 2023, Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus conducted psychological assessments for 1,418 fourth-year students as part of their preparation for on-the-job training (OJT) and practice teaching in the second semester. This initiative ensures that students are emotionally and mentally ready for the professional responsibilities they will encounter during their field assignments.
The assessments aim to provide insights into each student’s psychological readiness, resilience, and areas for personal development. By addressing mental health factors early, PSU Lingayen ensures students are better equipped to manage the demands of teaching and real-world work environments. This proactive approach reflects PSU’s dedication to student success and overall well-being, prioritizing a supportive and informed transition into professional roles.
