Pangasinan State University (PSU) President Dr. Elbert M. Galas conducted a campus visit to PSU Sta. Maria on January 28, 2025, to engage in a dialogue with key campus stakeholders and assess the institution’s current needs and ongoing development projects.
During his visit, Dr. Galas met with Campus Executive Director Dr. Oliver Caasi, Faculty Regent Hon. Ace John Mark P. Liwanag, Supreme Student Council President Mr. Richard Maling and other key campus officials. The discussions centered on enhancing the campus’ infrastructure, addressing personnel concerns and ensuring that necessary resources are in place to support the academic
community effectively.
A key highlight of the visit was Dr. Galas’ inspection of PSU Sta. Maria’s various facilities, where he personally checked on the status of existing buildings, classrooms and other essential structures. He also took note of the ongoing physical plant projects, ensuring their alignment with the university’s long-term development plans.
During the dialogue, among the concerns raised were the need for additional buildings and more utility personnel to maintain campus operations efficiently.
The university president’s proactive approach in directly engaging with campus officials and students underscores PSU’s commitment to continuous improvement and responsive governance. His visit reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to addressing the needs of PSU Sta. Maria, fostering a more conducive learning environment for students and faculty alike.
